When two powerhouses met: Ekta Kapoor honoured Rajan Shahi as best producer for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai at International Iconic Awards

Ace producer Rajan Shahi, the founder of banner Director’s Kut Production, has built a space for himself on the small screen with his ability to mix every day stories with emotional values and family love. His ongoing shows Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Anupamaa have been audiences favourite.  He was recently honoured with the International Iconic Best Producer of Indian Television award for his show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. And what made the moment stand out was not just the award, but who presented it to him. Ekta Kapoor herself presented the honour, making it a memorable moment for Indian television.

Both, Rajan and Ekta, together on one stage was a treat to watch as they have both played a significant role in shaping Indian television over the years. Their work has not just been adored by the audience, but have also inspired them in many ways. 

While accepting the award, Rajan spoke about the influence Ekta has had on his journey. He called her his inspiration and shared how he has always admired and learned from her work. Ekta, too, had warm words for Rajan as she presented him with the award.
