Gaurii comes from an orthodox family where girls are traditionally married off at a very young age. However, her parents believed in education and ensured that she completed her studies. Later, she pursued an MBA and also joined her father's business, which helped her become financially independent and shaped her entrepreneurial mindset.

Sharing her experience at the competition, Gaurii says, "Representing India on an international platform and winning four medals was an unforgettable experience. In a country where sports other than cricket often don't receive the same level of attention, facilities, or recognition, achieving success becomes even more meaningful. The most emotional moment was standing on the podium and hearing the national anthem play. The goosebumps and pride that come with representing your country cannot be explained in words. It is a feeling every athlete dreams of experiencing."

When asked about her fitness journey, she says, "My fitness journey started when I was in Class 12. I had gained a lot of weight and decided to join a gym to get fit. During my training, my coach noticed that I had natural strength and could lift heavier weights than most beginners. He suggested that I try powerlifting. I participated in a competition, won, and became addicted to the feeling of success. From that point onward, powerlifting became my passion and eventually my profession."

Gaurii also shares how her family's support has helped her. "My family's support has been one of the biggest reasons behind my success. Coming from a conservative background, it wasn't easy to pursue sports, but my parents always stood by me. They encouraged me to study, supported my decisions, and gradually became my strongest pillars throughout my journey."

The exhibition, hosted in the Exhibition Hall at Hawa Mahal, featured more than 40 meticulously crafted pebble artworks. From morning 10 AM to evening 6 PM, visitors streamed in to witness how the artist had breathed life into these humble stones using colours and delicate brushwork. What struck everyone was the remarkable realism and emotional depth — many found it hard to believe at first glance that the pieces were created entirely from pebbles.

Rajkumar Gupta, a legal professional by training, has pursued pebble art as a passionate medium of expression for several years. According to him, every stone carries within it an unspoken story and feeling; the artist’s role is simply to recognise and reveal it. This philosophy shone brightly through the displayed works.

The exhibition beautifully captured universal human emotions. One of the most touching pieces portrayed the tender bond between a mother and child, with the innocent face of the baby resting in the mother’s lap. Viewers often paused emotionally before this artwork, their faces reflecting both warmth and a hint of nostalgia. Another standout creation depicted the expression of love, evoking memories of timeless romantic tales. A third piece explored the thoughtful introspection of a young mind navigating life’s complexities.

What made the artworks truly special was the extraordinary level of detail. The stones were painted and arranged with such finesse that they appeared almost three-dimensional, drawing visitors into a quiet, reflective experience. Many attendees stood mesmerised for long moments, absorbing the feelings conveyed through these unlikely canvases.

Just weeks earlier, in March 2026, his works had received widespread appreciation at an international art exhibition in Noida. Bringing the same artistic excellence to Jaipur’s iconic Hawa Mahal added a special charm, blending the grandeur of heritage architecture with the simplicity and beauty of pebble art.

Local art enthusiasts, families, and tourists who visited described the exhibition as refreshing and deeply moving. Jaisalmer/Ramdevra: Under the auspices of the Samajik Ekta Manch (Social Unity Forum), the historic 'Marwar Mahasammelan' was organized on Sunday at the holy pilgrimage site of Ramdevra in Jaisalmer. The grandest feature of this event was its historic 'Jal Samagam' (Water Confluence), where people from all castes and classes poured water brought from their respective homes into a single 'Sarvodaya Kalash' (Urn of Universal Upliftment) and took a solemn oath to completely root out casteism.

This was perhaps the first such occasion on the soil of Marwar where such a massive crowd gathered without the labels of caste or religion, engaging in deep brainstorming on meaningful societal issues. The main focus of the conference was centered on three key points: the eradication of unemployment, the abolition of casteism, and environmental conservation.

Historic Moment: 'Jal Samagam' and 'Sarvodaya Kalash' Around 1:00 PM, the most emotional and historic moment of the event, the 'Jal Samagam', was witnessed. Erasing the divides of caste, people from various communities brought water with them. All of this water was poured into a single urn as a symbol of unity and harmony, which was subsequently named the 'Sarvodaya Kalash'.

Industrialist Meghraj Singh Royal's Emphasis on Unemployment, Education, and Environment: Addressing the gathering, prominent industrialist and Chairman of the United Global Peace Foundation, Meghraj Singh Royal, clearly stated that unemployment is currently the biggest problem. He noted that meritorious children of Marwar scoring above 90 percent are left behind due to a lack of resources. The foundation is preparing such children for higher education and administrative services (IAS, IPS), ensuring that capable individuals enter the administration in the future to change the state's landscape.

Highlighting the immense potential for solar energy in Rajasthan, he suggested that unemployed youth should be allotted barren land and integrated into solar power generation. This, he noted, could generate crores in income and millions of jobs. He also described tourism as a massive source of employment. He elaborated on five key points:

1. Solution to Unemployment and the Solar Energy Model: In his keynote address, Royal explained that Marwar possesses limitless wealth in the form of the sun. Presenting a solid economic model, he stated that if just 10% of Rajasthan's barren land is given to the unemployed and farmers, 1 megawatt of electricity can be generated on 4 acres of land, yielding an annual income of ₹50 lakh. This model can provide direct employment to 4.5 million (45 lakh) people in Marwar and generate crores in revenue, with indirect jobs reaching into the millions.

2. Tourism and Revival of Traditional Arts: He shared his journey of putting Jaisalmer on the global tourism map in 1986 alongside Dr. Lalit K. Panwar. He explained how, starting from camel stables, he built a hotel industry that didn't just construct buildings but provided local Manganiyar singers, artisans, and dancers with a global platform and sustainable employment.

3. Scientific and Historical Explanation of Casteism: Launching a scathing attack on casteism, Royal said that in ancient times, 'caste' was identified not by birth but by skill and occupation (such as potter, barber, gardener). It was merely a work style, which was later twisted into the disease of 'casteism' by the British and politicians for their selfish motives. He compared casteism to the salty water of the sea, urging people to abandon it and create sweet water through the technology of hard work.

4. Tsunami of Technology (AI) and Warning of East India Company 2.0: He warned the youth that in the near future, technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) will snatch away jobs on a massive scale. Therefore, it is essential to preserve manual skills and traditional arts. Terming large corporate retail chains as the new "East India Company," he appealed to the public to stop ordering goods from foreign online companies and to support local traders and brethren instead; otherwise, 70% of the coming generations will be left unemployed.

5. Public Policy, Not Politics (Lokneeti, Not Rajneeti): Meghraj Singh Royal clarified that the purpose of this platform is not to form a political party. However, he called upon the public to send educated, capable youth who wear suits and ties and understand technology and the economy to the Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha, rather than uneducated leaders.

Marwar's Cultural Heritage and Brotherhood - Arvind Singh Bhati: Arvind Singh Bhati, Student Union President of Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, stated that today's Mahasammelan is a collective effort to save Marwar's 'Apanayat' (sense of belonging) and love. Citing historical examples, he reminded the audience that Lord Ram ate the half-eaten berries of Mata Shabari, and the supreme societal positions given to Maharishi Valmiki and Mahatma Vidur prove that karma (deeds) is paramount. He recalled Marwar's social fabric, where from birth to death, every auspicious and religious function sees the equal and respectful participation of all castes like Nai (barber), Suthar (carpenter), Manganiyar, etc. Bhati urged the youth to avoid the 'digital cocaine' of social media and have the courage to call out what is right.

Solutions Along with Problems - Mukesh Meghwal: UGPF Manager Mukesh Meghwal, in an emotional address, shared that to prepare this unity platform, he toured the villages and hamlets of Marwar for three months, inviting all 36 communities. He emphasized that Shri Meghraj Singh Royal doesn't just point out society's problems but implements concrete solutions. Hotel management training for 100 youths at Suryagarh with a monthly stipend of ₹25,000, funding marriages for poor daughters, and providing free education for 700 children through the foundation are living examples. From the land of Baba Ramdev, he administered an oath to all attendees to strengthen social unity and brotherhood.

Hard Work is the Real Prestige - Sant Omdas Maharaj: Sant Omdas Maharaj stated that a person's prestige comes not from their money or position, but from their Purusharth (hard work/effort). Praising the selfless service of Shri Meghraj Singh, he remarked that he is 'Royal' not just on the outside, but on the inside as well. The saint honored the sacrifices made by the ancestors of the Meghwal community (such as Raja Ram Meghwal, Manana ji, etc.) for water and society during the historical construction of Pushkar, Pichola, and Mehrangarh. He called upon everyone to tear down the walls of hatred and be threaded together like beads in a single garland.

Example of Great Men and Youthful Energy - Moti Singh Jodha: Youth leader Moti Singh Jodha, in his impassioned address, asserted that untouchability and hierarchy were never part of our original culture. The chief guest at Lord Ram's coronation was Kevat (a boatman). Pabuji Maharaj was accompanied by brave men of the Bhil community, and in Maharana Pratap's army, Bhils, Gadoliya Lohars, and Hakim Khan Sur stood firmly shoulder to shoulder. The clarion call of this Mahasammelan, rising from the holy land of Baba Ramdev, made it clear that Marwar has now taken a step in a new and positive direction based on employment, education, and brotherhood. Booklet Attracted Attention: A booklet distributed by the organizers caught everyone's attention. It revealed the truth behind the dominance and glare of solar companies in the region. It detailed two projects outlining a blueprint for unemployment eradication and environmental conservation, leaving everyone highly intrigued.

Thousands of runners participate with great enthusiasm

Jaipur. The third edition of the Marudhara Half Marathon, organized by Kalptaru Shiksha Samiti with the aim of promoting health and fitness awareness in the city, concluded successfully on Sunday. More than 2,000 runners from different age groups participated enthusiastically in the 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km categories, making the event a memorable celebration of fitness.

The marathon was flagged off by the Chief Guest, Mr. Neeraj K. Pawan, Secretary, Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Rajasthan.

Distinguished guests included Mr. Jyotikumar Satija, IG, Railway Protection Force (RPF), North Western Railway; Mr. Ashish Sharma from ANS Solar; Mr. Rohit Patni from Shubhaashish Marina; and Mr. Dinesh Pahadia, General Manager, RIICO. The main attraction of the event was Ms. Aditi Sharma, Miss India Celeste India 2025, whose presence added to the excitement and enthusiasm of the participants.

The marathon commenced from the Bombay Hospital, Jaipur campus. Runners followed a route through the Sitapura Industrial Area up to Shubhaashish Marina and returned to Bombay Hospital, where they crossed the finish line. Raipur: On Sunday morning, the streets of Raipur transformed into a vibrant celebration of fitness and sporting spirit as thousands of participants came together for the SK Raipur Marathon 2026. Organized by Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha and the Indian Institute of Event Management (IIEMR), in association with SK Finance and South Eastern Coalfield, the event infused the city with energy, discipline, and enthusiasm. Beginning as early as 4:00 AM, more than 10,000 runners from 25 cities participated across multiple race categories, making it a grand sporting spectacle.

The marathon was officially flagged off by Chhattisgarh Police IG Badrinarayan Meena, Income Tax Commissioner Shravan Meena, along with youth icon Rannvijay, whose presence added excitement to the event. The occasion was also attended by IIEMR Director Mukesh Mishra and SK Finance National Business Head Prashant Choure. A major highlight of the event was Rannvijay’s enthusiastic cheering, which encouraged and motivated runners throughout the race.

Jaipur : A three-day Chadar Mahotsav and Dadaguru Iktisa Paath will be organized in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, from March 6 to 8, 2026. Preparations at the festival venue are in full swing. The grand event will be inaugurated by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat.

The highlight of the festival will be the historic global resolution on March 7, when 10.8 million devotees across the world will simultaneously recite the Dadaguru Iktisa Paath. The event is being organized under the aegis of the Dadagurudev Shri Jindattsuri Chadar Mahotsav Committee. Representatives from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Hindu Spiritual and Service Institutions, Vidya Bharati, and several socio-cultural organizations will participate.

The program will be held under the auspicious guidance of Gachchhadhipati Acharya Shri Maniprabha Suri Ji. The inspiration behind this grand spiritual gathering is Pujya Acharya Shri Jinmanojna Sagar Ji. The Chadar Mahotsav Committee is chaired by Maharashtra Government Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, with former JITO Chairman Tejraj Golecha serving as Convenor. Around 400 saints from various Indian traditions and nearly 20,000 devotees are expected to attend the three-day event.

First Formal Abhishek After 871 Years

According to Chairman Mangal Prabhat Lodha, this initiative is not merely a religious ritual but a global movement of faith, unity, and spiritual awakening. At a designated time, devotees across India and abroad will recite the Dadaguru Iktisa Paath simultaneously, creating a collective wave of spiritual consciousness worldwide.

For the first time in 871 years, the sacred Chadar of Dadagurudev Shri Jindattsuri will undergo a formal ceremonial Abhishek. Prior to this, the Chadar will be brought in a grand procession (Varghoda) from the Jaisalmer Fort to the festival venue. On March 8, Upadhyay Mahendrasagar Maharaj will be conferred the title of Acharya.

Global Participation in the Collective Recitation

Prakash Chandra Lodha, National Chairman of the Dadaguru Iktisa Program, stated that the central attraction of the three-day Chadar Mahotsav (March 6–8, 2026) will be the historic collective recitation by 10.8 million devotees worldwide on March 7. Devotees across countries will participate simultaneously, spreading spiritual energy globally.

Key Programs Over Three Days

March 6: The festival will commence with the ceremonial entry of Gachchhadhipati, Acharyas, Upadhyays, and revered saints. A religious assembly will be addressed in the presence of RSS Chief Mohan Rao Bhagwat. A commemorative coin and special postal stamp for the Chadar ceremony will be released. In the evening, a live theatrical presentation based on the life of Dadagurudev will be staged for the first time.

March 7: A grand Chadar procession will begin from Jaisalmer Fort. Subsequently, 10.8 million devotees worldwide will recite the Dadaguru Iktisa Paath. The Chadar Abhishek and puja will take place in the afternoon. A cultural evening featuring renowned musicians will be held as part of the Bhakti Mahotsav.

March 8: Upadhyay Mahendrasagar Maharaj will be elevated to the position of Acharya, along with a Ganini title ceremony. On the same day, sacred water (Aok Jal) and Vasakshep associated with the Chadar will be distributed among devotees.

Massive Dome Tents Under Construction

Mahendra Singh Bhansali, President of the Jaisalmer Jain Trust, informed that large dome tents have been under construction for a month at the Dedansar Ground in preparation for this historic Jain community event. A museum is also being set up at the venue. Approximately 20,000 devotees of Dadaguru Jindattsuri from across India and abroad are expected to attend. Jaisalmer district is considered an extremely significant religious site for the Jain community.

Sacred Chadar: A Symbol of Unwavering Faith

According to Organizing Committee Secretary Padam Tatia, the first Dadaguru, Acharya Shri Jindattsuri, is regarded as a great 11th-century spiritual leader. As per tradition, his last rites were performed in Ajmer on land granted by King Arnoraj. During the cremation, the miraculous event of the Chadar not burning became a symbol of divine grace and remains a center of deep faith for devotees.

Historical records state that about one and a half centuries ago, the Maharawal of Jaisalmer brought this Chadar from Anhilpur Patan to mitigate a devastating epidemic. Currently, the sacred Chadar is preserved at Shri Jinbhadra Suri Gyan Bhandar inside Jaisalmer Fort. The Chadar Mahotsav is organized based on this revered tradition.

National Scholarly Seminar

On March 7 and 8, 2026, a National Scholarly Seminar will be held on the theme: “Contribution of the Dadaguru Tradition to India’s Cultural Unity, Social Harmony, and Integration.”

The session on 'Kala Sastra : Material Experimentation and Artistic Transformation' featured distinguished speakers Padmashri Bharat Gupta, Vice Chairman, National School of Drama, Prof. (Dr.) Ramesh C. Over 400 Paintings by 100 Artists  

Under the curation of renowned artist Dharmendra Rathore, the festival is exhibiting over 400 paintings by 100 international and national artists. These paintings beautifully encapsulate the essence of Rajasthan’s art, culture, and heritage. The exhibition features renowned artists from Brazil, Norway, Australia, and England, along with Indian artists such as  Padma Shri Shyam Sharma,  Adela, Pares, Netaliya, Rusia, Rinku Debdas, Manoj dharekar, Ramesh Bhosle, Smarati Joshi, Kp Singh Gwalior sona Jamal, Kishore Sing,  Sridhar Iyer, Mukesh Salvi, R.B. Under the visionary leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India, initiated the Compliance Burden Reduction and Deregulation exercise for all states. As part of this national reform agenda, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan provided active leadership for the state’s participation and ensured effective and timely implementation through multiple meetings chaired by the Chief Secretary of Rajasthan.

As a result, Rajasthan emerged among the leading states that achieved full compliance in all 23 priority areas identified by the Government of India. These reforms were systematically implemented, thereby creating a strong and efficient ecosystem that reinforced Ease of Doing Business. The regulatory framework was simplified and modernised, laying a robust foundation for the grounding and effective implementation of the Memoranda of Understanding signed during the Rising Rajasthan Investment Global Summit.

Rajasthan demonstrated its commitment to strengthening the Ease of Doing Business ecosystem by implementing several transformative reforms. To promote the MSME sector, the state amended Rule 90 to simplify the land conversion process in urban areas, reducing the timeline from 60 to 30 working days, after which automatic approval is granted. This has reduced project delays and accelerated the establishment of new enterprises.

In the field of pollution control, Rajasthan has made remarkable progress. For MSMEs, the timeline for Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO) was reduced from 120 days to 21 days, and for red/large category enterprises to 60 days. Additionally, the Pollution Control Board introduced system-generated auto-renewal of CTOs for units complying with environmental laws based on self-certification. Moreover, amendments to Water and Air Pollution Rules expanded the list of non-polluting White Category industries from 104 sectors to 877 sectors, exempting more non-polluting industries from regulatory requirements. This has accelerated project approvals and promoted industrial growth.

To reduce regulatory burden on micro-enterprises, the Rajasthan Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958, was amended to increase the employee limit from 0 to 10. Furthermore, to strengthen Ease of Doing Business and make establishments more convenient, the state issued an ordinance increasing permissible working hours under the Act. According to the ordinance, daily working hours were raised from 9 to 10, with a minimum 30-minute break after 6 hours of work, and the quarterly overtime limit was increased to 144 hours.

Additionally, the Rajasthan government amended Rule 100 of the Rajasthan Factory Rules, 1951, allowing women workers (except pregnant women and mothers) to work in all hazardous tasks, including 15 tasks previously prohibited for women.

Fire safety compliance was streamlined by introducing third-party fire inspections through empanelled agencies and extending the validity period of Fire NOC certificates, thereby reducing procedural delays while ensuring safety standards.

Rajasthan also became a leading state in rationalising minimum road width requirements for rural industries. Road width was fixed at 9 meters in areas with layout plans and 4.5 meters in areas without layout plans. The state implemented significant reforms to optimise land use in industrial and commercial areas. The Urban Development and Housing Department and RIICO amended building standards to ensure optimal land utilisation and rationalised parking norms. The earlier restriction of 50% ground coverage on commercial plots was removed, providing greater flexibility in urban planning.

In the field of urban development, the Rajasthan government issued the Transit-Oriented Development Policy, aimed at promoting compact, pedestrian-friendly, and transport-centric urban growth. This policy encourages high-density mixed-use development around metro corridors, BRTS, and major transportation routes, helping to reduce traffic congestion, control horizontal urban sprawl, increase public transportation usage, and build cleaner, more efficient cities.

In the area of decriminalisation, the state notified the Rajasthan Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Ordinance, 2025, amending provisions of 11 state laws to decriminalise minor offences. Under this ordinance, criminal provisions were replaced with monetary penalties, penalties were rationalised, and criminal proceedings were reduced, making it easier for citizens and businesses to operate.

To further strengthen investor facilitation, the state’s single-window system, RajNivesh, was empowered with an AI chatbot that integrates information from various departments to provide seamless and effective assistance to investors.

Through these comprehensive and visionary reforms, Rajasthan has reaffirmed its position among India’s leading states in compliance reduction, deregulation, and investor facilitation, highlighting its continued commitment to swift, transparent, and efficient governance.

This achievement was made possible through the coordinated efforts and sustained cooperation of all departments of the state.

Transgender athlete Nandini Sindhi rises from struggle to national glory in Ice Stock Sport and now dreams of representing India at the international level.

Born and raised in Jaipur, Nandini Sindhi, a proud member of the transgender community, has become an inspiring symbol of courage, determination, and sporting excellence. Her life—marked by hardship, discrimination, and relentless struggle—has transformed into a story of resilience after she won multiple medals in Ice Stock Sport, including the prestigious National Gold Medal in 2025.

Nandini’s early life was filled with challenges. She lost both her parents at a very young age, leaving her responsible for supporting her entire family. While other children enjoyed carefree lives, she carried emotional and financial burdens far beyond her age. Growing up as a transgender child in a conservative society, she faced taunts, humiliation, exclusion, and discrimination. She was denied dignity, denied acceptance, and even denied employment opportunities simply because of her gender identity. With no support and no job prospects, she was forced to beg on trains just to survive.

During one of her most difficult phases, a member of the transgender community helped her understand the realities of society and the importance of inner strength. She later found shelter through Garima Greh NGO, but when the center shut down unexpectedly, she again faced uncertainty. Eventually, she joined the broader transgender community, yet the discrimination did not stop.

Determined to create a life of dignity for herself and others, Nandini began taking care of displaced transgender children and youth through the space earlier managed by Garima Greh’s Sartar Home. During this time, she met Msk Pankaj, a mentor from Garima Greh who played a crucial role in transforming her life. He introduced her to dance training and continued to guide her with genuine care.

Nandini recalls this turning point with deep gratitude:

“It was Msk Pankaj Sir who first told us about Ice Stock and took us to learn it. We all first met at the Garima Greh shelter home, where he used to train children for free in dance, singing, and other activities. Later, he called Manish Sir to teach us this sport and spoke to the Ice Stock Director to waive our fees. He gave us a chance to move forward and requested the association to support us. I thank him from my heart—no one does this much for transgender people.”

Through this support system, Nandini met Ice Stock Director Sakshi Sharma and coaches Sameer and Manish Bhati, who believed in her potential. Their guidance became the bridge between her struggles and her rising sports career.

Her journey in Ice Stock Sport began in 2024 when she won a Silver Medal at the District Championship. She soon advanced to the State Championship, winning Gold, and later competed in the 11th National Ice Stock Championship 2025 in Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir, where she secured Silver and Bronze among participants from 22 states.

But Nandini’s dream was clear—she wanted national gold.

On 12 August 2025, at an Ice Stock State Championship hosted by Vivekananda Global University, she achieved two Gold Medals. With renewed confidence, she competed in the Samar Stock National Championship 2025 in Agra, where athletes from 14 states participated. In a tough final match against Gujarat, Nandini and her team secured a spectacular victory by 8 points, finally winning the National Gold Medal she had worked so hard for.

Today, Nandini aims to represent India on the international stage and bring home a gold medal for the country. She expresses heartfelt gratitude to the Ice Stock Association, Director Sakshi Sharma, Manish Bhati, Sameer Sir, and especially Msk Pankaj, whose support changed the direction of her life.

IDRC’s 4th Arbitration in India Conclave 2025, Law Min. Meghwal, HMJ Manmohan, Sh. OP Dhankar & Ors

New Delhi [India], November 7: The Indian Dispute Resolution Centre (IDRC), in collaboration with the Bar Council of India’s India International University of Legal Education and Research (IIULER), successfully hosted the “4th Arbitration in India Conclave 2025” at the India International Centre, New Delhi. Supported by CIArb and Vienna International Arbitration Centre, Austria. The Conclave brought together judges, legal luminaries, policymakers, and senior practitioners to deliberate on the theme “Autonomy and Accountability in Arbitration: Institutional Arbitration is the Way Forward.”

Hon’ble Union Minister for Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, delivered the keynote address, outlining the Government’s reform-oriented vision for ADR. Stating that “Arbitration, Mediation, and Conciliation are essential tools for strengthening India’s justice delivery and economic growth.” Citing the Mediation Act, 2023 and the forthcoming amendments to the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, he said these initiatives would “make India a preferred seat for both domestic and international arbitration.”

Shri Meghwal remarked that ADR mechanisms reflect India’s cultural and legal heritage, noting that “from Lord Krishna’s mediation in the Mahabharata to today’s institutional mechanisms, India has always valued resolution through dialogue and alternative modes.” He called upon arbitration institutions to ensure accessibility, affordability, and integrity, noting that “judicial intervention should be limited, and efficiency must define India’s dispute resolution landscape.”

Hon’ble Justice Manmohan, Supreme Court, in his valedictory address, called for institutional arbitration to evolve as a transparent and predictable system.
Praising IDRC’s achievements, noting that the Centre had conducted over 3,000 arbitrations in five years and has become a “symbol of India’s commitment to establish an efficient and credible ADR ecosystem.”

Justice Manmohan observed that “Courts must act as facilitators, not barriers, to arbitration. Excessive judicial interference erodes the very purpose of alternative dispute resolution.”
Highlighting the benefits of Institutional Arbitrations over ad hoc proceedings, he went on to suggest that a moratorium should be placed on all ad hoc arbitrations for a certain period so that institutional arbitration can be strengthened. Referring to the Justice BN Shrikrishna Committee Report, he said India should promote arbitration institutions to become a global ADR hub.

He proposed strict timelines for enforcing awards under Sections 34 and 37 of the Arbitration Act to ensure time-bound disposal of arbitration challenges. The Hon’ble Judge also urged the Government to revisit the Finance Ministry’s circular restricting arbitration only to disputes valued less than Rs. 10 Crore, stating that “the Government must remain a part of the arbitration movement, not apart from it.”

Mr S.D. Sanjay highlighted that “institutional systems help prevent arbitral fee abuse, avoid delays and promote fairness.”

Ms Shruti Sabharwal noted that “structured oversight, award scrutiny, and ethical accountability make institutional arbitration inherently superior to ad hoc ones”

Mr Ayush Agarwala added that “efficiency, diversity among arbitrators, and digital adoption will determine the future success of arbitration in India.”

Delivering the Welcome Address, Ved Prakash Sharma, Advocate and Co-Chairman, BCI applauded the growing role of arbitration in modern dispute resolution. He highlighted the collaboration between BCI and IDRC, stating that their joint efforts have been “instrumental in promoting awareness, education, and reforms that strengthen India’s arbitration ecosystem.”

Jaipur, September 18, 2025: In an engaging encounter at the SMS Indoor Stadium, Jaipur Pink Panthers registered a 45-41 victory against the Bengal Warriorz on Thursday. Nitin Kumar and Ali Samadi recorded Super 10s for the hosts to help them climb to fourth place on the points table.

Meanwhile, Devank Dalal notched his seventh straight Super 10 alongside Manprit Pardeep, while Ashish Malik also registered a High Five, but that wasn’t enough for the Season 7 champions to get over the line.

Devank secured the first raid of the game, reaching a milestone by becoming the fastest raider to 400 raid points, achieving the feat in just 38 games. Nitin Kumar opened Jaipur Pink Panthers’ account, but it was the Warriorz captain who was on a roll, giving his team a three-point lead in the early exchanges.

Jaipur, September 17, 2025: Dabang Delhi K.C. continued their brilliant run in the PKL Season 12 as they clinched their sixth straight win against Telugu Titans at SMS Indoor Stadium, Jaipur on Wednesday. After trailing by five points in the first half, it was Neeraj Narwal who came to the fore with nine points, while he was ably supported by High Fives from Saurabh Nandal and Fazel Atrachali.

The Telugu Titans opened the scoring with a successful raid from Vijay Malik, giving them an early lead. They quickly built on this momentum as Shubham Shinde executed a solid tackle to make it 2-0. The Titans maintained their dominance, with Bharat picking up a raid point and then following it up with a strong tackle to send Ashu Malik to the bench, pushing their lead to 4-0.

Dabang Delhi finally opened their account through a well-timed tackle by Surjeet Singh in a do-or-die raid. Soon after, Manjeet delivered a successful raid, cutting the deficit to 5-2. However, Neeraj Narwal earned a point for his side and revived the Dabang Delhi captain, reducing the gap to 5-3. 

After a slow start, Dabang Delhi gradually found their rhythm and closed the deficit further, bringing the score to 5-4 by the time the first time-out was taken in the opening half.

The Telugu Titans resumed the game strongly, collecting a couple of quick points to stretch their advantage. Their defence continued to hold firm, once again stopping Ashu Malik and sending him to the bench, which extended their lead to 8-4 with just over six minutes left in the first half.

The Titans’ defensive unit maintained their intensity for the remainder of the half, consistently shutting down Dabang Delhi’s raiders. Their solid all-round effort helped them go into halftime with a 14-9 lead, firmly in control of the contest.

Dabang Delhi mounted a strong comeback in the second half, sparked by a brilliant Super Raid from Neeraj Narwal, who looked in terrific touch, earned them three points and cut the deficit to 14-15.

However, Telugu Titans responded quickly with a well-executed Super Tackle, regaining control and extending their lead to 19-14. Dabang Delhi then produced a big turning point by inflicting an ALL OUT, which helped them take the lead for the first time in the match at 20-19 with just over 13 minutes left on the clock. They built on this momentum with a solid tackle to push their advantage to 21-19.

With Fazel Atrachali leading the charge in defence. He pulled off several sharp tackles and completed a well-earned High Five, as the side extended their lead to 27-22 within the first four minutes of the half.

Dabang Delhi appeared to be in complete control for most of the second half, but Telugu Titans kept pushing and managed to close the gap to just three points in the final three minutes of play. However, Delhi’s all-round performance ensured they didn’t lose their grip on the match. 

The Titans stayed in the fight as Shubham Shinde produced a crucial tackle to make it 27-30, followed by a successful raid from Praful Zaware that brought the score to 28-30. With just over 40 seconds left, only two points separated the two sides.

But Akshit stepped up for Dabang Delhi with a decisive Super Raid that pushed their lead to 33-28, effectively sealing the contest. The Titans managed to pick up one more point, but the season 8 winners held on to secure a 33-29 win.

This innovative format, built around short-game precision and strategy, began its tour in Panchkula and made stops at Oxford Golf Club (Pune), Jammu Tawi Golf Course, and Rambagh Golf Club (Jaipur), before culminating in Chandigarh.

The event marked a milestone in Indian golf, with over 250 golfers teeing off as early as 5:00 AM, undeterred by the hot and sultry weather. New Delhi, 16^th June, 2025: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has observed that a large number of spam complaints are made by the customers against the business entities from whom the consumers have earlier purchased goods or services. On investigation, such business entities often claim that they possess the consent of the consumer for receiving commercial calls and messages.

Under the regulatory framework defined by the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR), 2018, an entity can make commercial communications to a consumer irrespective of his/her Do Not Disturb (DND) preferences provided the entity has taken explicit consent from the consumer. However, in many cases, these consents were collected through offline or unverifiable means, making it extremely difficult to ascertain their validity and genuineness. In several instances, consumers report that their mobile numbers have been acquired by the entities for this purpose through misrepresentation, deception, or unauthorized data-sharing practices.

TRAI has undertaken several innovative regulatory measures in recent years to curb such practices. These include allowing consumers to register complaints against unregistered telemarketers (UTMs) even without prior DND registration, and initiating large-scale disconnection of telecom resources being misused by the entities for spamming activities. However, verification of consent for commercial communication citing offline consent of consumer, remains a formidable challenge.

To address the issue, the regulations provide for acquiring consent digitally by the entities and registering them in a secure and interoperable digital consent registry maintained by the Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) for easy verification of consents while commercial communication is made to the consumers. However, for successful operation of this consent registration framework, onboarding of entities sending commercial communications is a necessary requirement.

Accordingly, to begin the national roll-out, TRAI has launched a Pilot Project in coordination with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) involving select banks and has issued a Direction on 13^th June, 2025, to all the Telecom Service Providers, mandating them to pilot this framework in collaboration with banks. Given the sensitivity of banking transactions and cases of financial frauds through spam calls, the banking sector has been prioritized for the first phase of implementation. This Pilot, running under a Regulatory Sandbox framework, will validate the operational, technical, and regulatory aspects of the enhanced Consent Registration Function (CRF) and lay the foundation for sector-wise scaling of the digital consent ecosystem.

TRAI remains committed to safeguarding consumer interest and enhancing trust in legitimate commercial communications. The Authority will continue to work with sectoral regulators and stakeholders to ensure that the ecosystem evolves towards more secure, transparent, and consumer-centric practices.

The meticulously designed lehenga, adorned with 5D peacock embroidery and embellished with real pearls and rubies, was selected by the Europe-Asia Fashion Alliance (EAFA), the official fashion partner of Cannes. But Dr. Sharma’s design broke conventions — it impressed the selection committee so much that they lifted the gown-only requirement, allowing her to retain the bridal form and merely adapt it to a gown silhouette.

Unfortunately, as the festival approached in mid-May, rising tensions between India and Pakistan led to canceled flights from Jodhpur and widespread logistical issues. With her travel plans disrupted, Dr. Sharma missed the opportunity to physically attend the Cannes Film Festival, which ran from May 13 to 24.

Despite this setback, Dr. Sharma has already received invitations to both the next edition of Cannes and the prestigious Paris Fashion Show, reaffirming the industry’s recognition of her talent and artistry. She underwent a rigorous five-round selection process that included video interviews and detailed dress sketches, with final confirmation arriving in February 2025.

Dr. Sharma remains optimistic, stating that her mission continues beyond the red carpet. Through her Vastrashala Academy, she trains rural, urban, and underprivileged youth in fashion design, textiles, AI-based fashion tech, and embroidery. Her vision is to empower future designers to represent India globally, just as she has.

While geopolitical tensions may have delayed her Cannes debut, Dr. Sharma’s journey is far from over — and her art continues to make waves, both at home and abroad.

Aimed at fostering creativity and encouraging traditional art among the school students, such an initiative was undertaken by Vedanta’s Sijimali Bauxite team.

New Delhi [India], January 09: A chilly, misty morning at Panchkula Golf Club set the stage for a groundbreaking moment in Indian golf—the debut of the Pitch and Putt format. With a mission to make golf more accessible and exciting for people across the country, this new format also positions India as a rising star on the global golfing map.

The inaugural Par3 Masters tournament kicked off with an impressive turnout of 178 golfers, including club members and special invitees. Despite the 8-degree chill and the fog lingering over the course, the participants were eager and enthusiastic. The first group of 84 players embraced the challenge of the new format, where each hole was set to Par 3, and players were limited to just three clubs—including a putter.

As the morning progressed, the fog began to lift, and the sun finally broke through, bringing warmth and energy to the course. The entire 18-hole layout had been reimagined to accommodate the Pitch and Putt format, and the response from the golfers was overwhelmingly positive.

Col. Dhillon, the General Manager of Panchkula Golf Club, shared his excitement about the event: “As both a golfer and an administrator, this was a fantastic opportunity. I knew our members would love this new format, and seeing all the spots fill up in under four hours was proof of its appeal. We’re proud to be the first club to bring Pitch and Putt to such a large scale, and it’s thrilling to see it take off so successfully.”

Mandi, India :  IIT Mandi, one of the top second-generation IITs, recently hosted its highly anticipated Open House Demonstration, featuring cutting-edge projects developed by second-year B.Tech students as part of the institute's Design Practicum course, on various themes of Health Tech, Future Tech, Sustainability and advanced robotics. The institute supports each group with ₹30,000 to develop their prototypes, fostering innovation and hands-on learning. Through the Open House Demonstration, IIT Mandi aims to nurture entrepreneurial aspirations, awarding the top three projects a development grant of ₹2.5 lakh each through IIT Mandi Catalyst, the institute's flagship incubator. Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM) 2024

This discussion is part of the preparations for the 4th Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM), scheduled from September 13 to 15, 2024, at Birla Auditorium, Jaipur. According to media reports Jayesh Desai revealed that Despite his efforts to shoo away the dog with his slipper and later with a stick obtained from the society guard, the situation escalated. In a significant move aimed at bolstering the cooperative sector and uplifting farmers across India, the Central Government, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is set to enhance the scope of Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS).

In order to address the shortage of food grain storage capacity in the country, the Government has approved the “World’s Largest Grain Storage Plan in Cooperative Sector”, which is being rolled out as a Pilot Project in different states/UTs of the country.

The Plan entails creation of various agri infrastructure at PACS level, including setting up decentralized godowns, custom hiring center, processing units, Fair Price Shops, etc. through convergence of various existing schemes of the Government of India (GoI), such as, Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure Scheme (AMI), Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM) Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME), etc. Under these schemes, PACS can avail subsidies and interest subvention benefits for construction of godowns/storage facilities and setting up of other agri infrastructure. Further, NABARD is also extending financial support to PACS by refinancing them at highly subsidized rates. Therefore, the plan aims to strengthen the economic condition of PACS by diversifying their business activities and giving them additional sources of revenue thus improving their financial sustainability.

Bharti with his Dhoad band has been conserving the tradition of folk singing, the heritage of folk music and the heritage of folk music and legacy of folk dance. He has been playing an important role in spreading the culture of India through folk music of Rajasthan in different countries. “In the performances, we invite people to India to see its rich culture and tradition,”Bharti said.

The Indian tradition and culture is so famous around the world that Dhoad Band is frequently invited to perform. Bharti is carrying the rich legacy of India across the world. He said, “It is great that people around the world like Indian music especially Rajasthani folk music and dances.”

It is also to be mentioned that Martine Le Coz has written a book on Bharti and she had said that it is another way of getting connected to the very old and generous Indian tradition by meeting Bharti and members of Dhoad Band.

Recently, Bharti and Dhoad performed at the opening ceremony of the ‘Namaste France’ festival on July 6. Indian culture, traditions and contemporary arts were showcased at this festival.

India and France celebrated the silver jubilee anniversary of their strategic partnership in the form of the Namasté France festival, organised by the Embassy of India in Paris with support from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

The festival was followed by the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to France on July 14 and was the Guest of Honour of the parade on the National Day of France.

The Dhoad Band founder Bharti started this journey from a small village Dhod in Rajasthan and has taken the Rajasthani folk arts and music across the globe. NDA is a good option for 12th pass candidates to join Indian Army. For this, the examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) which includes written examination, SSB Interview and Physical Test. All the students who qualify the exam are trained at the National Defense Academy. After completion of training, permanent commission is available on the post of officer in the Indian Army.

Indian Army recruits 12th pass youths in total in 3 ways. This includes NDA Recruitment through UPSC, Technical Entry Scheme, Written Exam, Army Recruitment Rally etc. However, graduate candidates can also join the army under Short Service Commission.
