Owing to his creative work in films and music, he was nominated for Silicon Valley Award – Media and Short Films in 2012 in California. Other recognitions for his filmmaking career include the Special Jury Award at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival 2022 and the Best Film awards in Francisco Arthouse Short Festival, Paris Cinema Awards, Tagore International Film Festival 2022, Mumbai International Film Festival India, Europe Film Festival, UK and many other events of repute. He has also written a book titled Karma, Yoga and Mind and published articles on the healing power of music.
The journey of Sandeep Khurana in the entertainment industry is a classic tale of chasing dreams. Starting his professional career in the IT sector across the globe with a degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Delhi Institute of Technology, he took a leap of faith to pursue his passion and went on to earn a Diploma in Film Direction, Production, and TV Journalism from the Asian Academy of Films and TV. He also fine-tuned his video production skills at Stanford University Continuing Studies, California.
In 2008, Khurana founded his own music company- SK Infinity World Media, to realize his goal of making meaningful, avant-garde music. As a testimony of his genius, since 2010, his music podcasts have maintained continuity in ranking iTunes’ Top 100 New Age music charts in the UK, Australia, Netherlands, Norway, Mexico, Sweden, and other countries. Moreover, SKY. FM has listed him among their most-played artists in the New Age music category. His music channel on Pandora Radio is popular with his Relaxing Music, Mantras, and other compositions. Some of the highlights of his musical career entail producing music for STAR TV, Channel V, KMVT15 (California), and other TV Channels worldwide, and the composition of the theme song “Singing for a Greener Tomorrow” in California. His Guided Meditations and healing music can also be listened to on the mobile app named Insight Timer.
The sensibility that Khurana carries forward in his works adds to the legacies of major music institutions such as Ali Akbar College of Music, California, and his film alma mater, the Asian Academy of Film and Television, India. Be it film music, independent albums, or his filmography, Sandeep’s works are marked by an intense introspection about psychological and emotional experiences, the meaning of life, and a search for things beyond the reach of perception.
