SoftTech Engineers Limited has won the FICCI Smart Urban Innovations Award held on April 29th, 2022 in the Disruptive Solutions Category for enabling MCGM (Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai) to boost the Ease of Doing Business Ranking (EoDB by World Bank) in manifolds. MCMG has been harnessing the power of BIM (Building Information Modelling), AI (Artificial Intelligence) & ML (Machine Learning) through SoftTechs innovative software products BIMDCR and AutoDCR by introducing permits on the BIM model. This is the second breakthrough initiative in the world only after Singapore. BIMDCR is helping MCGM dynamically simplify & automate the construction permit processes.
Leveraging the BIMDCR-based permit system, MCGM has significantly improved the Ease of Doing Business Ranking. The number of procedures has been reduced from 20 to 8, the time taken for the process has been reduced from 99 to 45 days, the cost has reduced from 6.6% to 2.21% value of Warehouse, and the quality parameter is achieved 100% as per World Bank norms. The transparency ensured by randomization of scrutiny officials and remarks being in the public domain has been maximized and information dissemination by dynamic dashboard has been accomplished.
