Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: The much-awaited crime thriller The Narmada Story, which released on Friday, received an enthusiastic response across Madhya Pradesh on its opening day. Special screenings were organized in several districts, while a number of theatres reported packed shows and strong audience turnout.

A special screening was held at Cinepolis, Aashima Mall Multiplex in Bhopal, attended by college students, families of police personnel, and the film's lead actress and real-life IPS officer Simala Prasad. She watched the film with the audience and interacted with families and guests during the event. Actor Ishtiyak Khan, who plays a key role in the film, was also present at the screening.

The film has received positive reviews from critics, with several publications awarding it up to four stars for its engaging narrative and social relevance.
